Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using advanced triage protocols to determine acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop immediate care plans for critical cases
- Oversee ER flow optimization and bed management to reduce wait times
- Mentor junior nursing staff on triage best practices and emergency procedures
- Utilize Epic EMR systems to document patient encounters with precision
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for emergency care
- Respond to mass casualty incidents with coordinated trauma response protocols
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license with minimum 5 years emergency department experience
- ENPC or TNCC certification required, CEN preferred
- Proven expertise in rapid assessment protocols and critical decision-making
- Bachelor's in Nursing (MSN preferred) with relevant certifications
- Demonstrated leadership skills in high-pressure clinical environments
- Advanced proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic experience required)
- Exceptional communication abilities for multidisciplinary collaboration
