Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments for patients across diverse medical conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize advanced clinical judgment to determine patient acuity levels and appropriate care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation of all interactions
- Provide expert medical guidance to patients and families regarding urgent care protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
- Mentor junior nursing staff in triage best practices and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven expertise in telephone triage and emergency assessment protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate complex situations
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
