Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients and healthcare staff via phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans and coordinate emergency responses
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and mentor junior nursing staff
- Participate in emergency response drills and departmental development projects
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California with minimum 3+ years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in telephone triage protocols and EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate high-stress situations
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
