Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using ESI protocols and clinical judgment
- Coordinate with emergency departments, specialists, and ancillary services
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clinical guidance to junior staff and triage teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Collaborate with case management for complex patient scenarios
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and state nursing regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts with minimum 5 years ER/triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Advanced triage certification (ENPC/ATCN)
- Proven expertise in ESI 5-level triage methodology
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Experience mentoring nursing staff
