Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using advanced triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop immediate treatment plans for critical patients
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with precise documentation
- Provide telehealth consultations to remote island communities
- Mentor junior nursing staff on triage best practices
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with specialists for seamless patient handoffs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Hawaii with 5+ years ER experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Demonstrated crisis management and decision-making skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong cultural competence in diverse healthcare settings
- Spanish language skills highly desirable
