Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families during critical care situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation for all triage encounters
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow and care coordination
- Provide telehealth triage support for affiliated clinics during off-hours
- Train junior nursing staff on triage procedures and emergency protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for emergency care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee with minimum 3 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree or higher preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency triage and rapid assessment techniques
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems and telehealth platforms
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain composure under pressure
