Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Oversee daily triage operations for 50+ daily patient encounters
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care pathways
- Maintain electronic health records with 99% accuracy
- Train junior triage staff on clinical protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- BSN or higher in Nursing (MSN preferred)
- 5+ years ER/trauma triage experience
- Current CA RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
