Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using ESI protocols in a Level 1 trauma center
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop rapid treatment plans
- Oversee triage team performance and mentor junior nursing staff
- Implement emergency response protocols for mass casualty incidents
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with real-time documentation
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
- Lead patient education on emergency care pathways
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- 5+ years ED/trauma experience with 2+ years triage specialization
- Current Indiana RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- ENPC or TNCC certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in ESI scoring and rapid assessment
- Exceptional critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Strong leadership abilities with mentorship experience
