Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments in high-volume emergency setting
- Prioritize cases using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists for critical patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Lead triage team during peak hours and disaster scenarios
- Mentor junior nursing staff on advanced triage techniques
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- 3+ years ED triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ESI protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic or EHR systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
