Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care levels in high-volume emergency department settings
- Lead triage protocols using EHR systems (Epic/Cerner) to ensure optimal patient flow
- Train and mentor junior triage staff on advanced clinical decision-making
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and refine departmental triage algorithms
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to reduce wait times and enhance patient outcomes
- Manage complex cases including pediatric, geriatric, and psychiatric presentations
Qualifications
- CA RN license with 5+ years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Master's degree in Nursing or relevant specialization preferred
- Expertise in EHR triage modules and clinical decision support tools
- Proven track record in high-acuity environments with 25+ daily patient assessments
- Demonstrated leadership in process improvement initiatives
