We're seeking an experienced triage professional to lead our emergency department intake process. Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using ESI and Manchester Triage systems
- Oversee emergency department intake and patient flow coordination
- Provide clinical guidance to nursing staff during critical decision points
- Develop and implement evidence-based triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians on complex patient cases
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR systems
- Lead quality improvement initiatives for patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Expertise in ESI Level 5 triage methodology
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
