Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Document patient assessments and care activities using EMR systems
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital protocols
- Participate in emergency response procedures and rapid response team activations
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates considered with experience)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC/Cerner preferred)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
