Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care in ICU/Stepdown units with nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and interventions in EMR systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for care coordination
- Respond to rapid response and code blue situations
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and facility protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active NJ RN license (compact license accepted)
- 2+ years of ICU/Stepdown experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to adapt to new environments
- Pass background and drug screening
