Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize emergency department visits
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while documenting patient encounters
- Educate patients and families on emergency procedures and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results to guide clinical interventions
- Coordinate with ancillary departments for seamless patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and decisive decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
