Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity and prioritize emergency department visits
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Utilize EHR systems (EPIC) for accurate documentation and communication
- Provide critical triage interventions including medication administration and wound care
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Educate patients and families on emergency procedures and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and hospital triage protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 3 years ER/trauma triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in rapid assessment protocols and emergency diagnostics
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
- Experience with EPIC EHR systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
