Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during critical decision-making
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and document all patient interactions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Provide compassionate care while maintaining efficiency in high-pressure emergency settings
- Monitor patient flow and adjust resources to optimize department operations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- BSN degree or equivalent experience required
