Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and recreational activities.
- Monitor client health and report any changes, concerns, or emergencies to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning living areas.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and grocery shopping.
- Administer medication as directed and supervised by the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in home health or senior care is a plus but not required.
