Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and restock surgical supplies while maintaining par levels
- Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical equipment per protocols
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS certification with current CPR card
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Valid California Surgical Technologist license
