Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Manage surgical inventory and instrument processing systems
- Document procedures and equipment usage in compliance with standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 2+ years of OR experience in general surgery specialties
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
