Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephonic virtual health assessments for patients across North Carolina
- Determine appropriate medical urgency using evidence-based triage protocols
- Coordinate seamless care transitions between patients, providers, and facilities
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide compassionate health education to patients and their families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- Certified Triage Nurse (CTN) or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems and telehealth technology
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- BLS certification and ACLS preferred
