Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Transport patients and prepare them for surgical procedures
- Inventory and manage surgical supplies/equipment
- Document procedural information accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience in hospital or ambulatory setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and infection control standards
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and procedures
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
