Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrumentation and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
- Manage surgical inventory and equipment maintenance
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 2+ years of scrub tech experience in OR setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with major surgical specialties (Ortho, Neuro, General)
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking
- Miami-Dade County surgical tech license
