Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with hospital protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Operate advanced surgical technology including endoscopic cameras and robotic systems
- Monitor inventory and manage equipment sterilization cycles
- Document procedural supplies and equipment usage accurately
- Maintain operating room readiness between cases
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Proficiency with laparoscopic and robotic surgical equipment
- Knowledge of sterile processing and infection control standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
- Arizona Surgical Tech license (or willingness to obtain)
