Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instrumentation
- Assist surgeons during procedures using advanced surgical technologies
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Manage equipment sterilization and inventory control systems
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with robotic-assisted surgical systems
- BLS certification and current KY state license
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ANSI)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
