Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Document patient care and inventory records accurately
- Transport patients and specimens safely between departments
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Commitment to completing paid training program (3-6 months)
- Background check and drug screen required
- CPR certification must be obtained during training
