Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment per surgeon specifications
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Document procedures remotely using our HIPAA-compliant EHR system post-shift
- Manage sterile processing and inventory control for operating rooms
- Transport patients and equipment safely between departments
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize procedural efficiency
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in acute care setting
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ANSI)
- Ability to work independently with remote documentation workflows
- CPR/BLS certification maintained
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
