Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Inventory and manage surgical equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for patient safety
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Graduation from accredited surgical technology program
- BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in orthopedic and general surgery preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Pennsylvania state license (if applicable)
