Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and sterile field maintenance
- Manage sterilization processes and inventory of surgical supplies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Document procedural events and equipment usage accurately
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout perioperative care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 2+ years of scrub tech experience in general surgery
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
