Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and track surgical instruments, sutures, and supplies pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and position them for optimal surgical access
- Operate sterilization equipment and manage inventory of surgical supplies
- Document procedural activities and equipment usage in electronic records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of hospital OR experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
