Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgeries
- Transport patients to and from surgical areas with care
- Document procedural details accurately in patient records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists for seamless operations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred (new grads encouraged)
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and instruments
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and on-call shifts
