Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units with acuity levels II-III
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and progress in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Adhere to JCAHO and facility-specific protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations
- Participate in shift handoffs and care planning meetings
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required
- Telemetry or ICU experience preferred
- Proficiency in Epic/Cerner EMR systems
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Negative TB test and health clearance
