Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterility
- Monitor inventory and sterilization of equipment to meet safety standards
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient patient flow
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of recent scrub experience in general or specialty surgery
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Valid BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
