Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and manage surgical instruments/equipment pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and specimens safely throughout the hospital
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
- Tennessee state license or willingness to obtain immediately
