Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/during/after surgery
- Transport patients to/from surgical suites and prepare them for procedures
- Operate surgical equipment like sterilizers and endoscopic devices
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience in acute care setting
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
