Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures (instrumentation, suturing, etc.)
- Maintain sterile environments and follow OSHA protocols
- Manage inventory and supply chain for surgical suites
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Train new staff on surgical protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 2+ years recent OR experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with frequent lifting
- Knowledge of all surgical specialties
- Alaska state license or ability to obtain
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
