Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and maintain sterile environments
- Monitor inventory levels and restock surgical supplies
- Transport patients and equipment safely between departments
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and OSHA protocols
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Commitment to completing our paid training program
- Preferred: CNA or medical assistant experience (not required)
- Valid Missouri driver's license (if transporting patients)
