Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/after surgeries
- Transport patients and specimens to designated areas
- Update electronic records and inventory systems
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work calmly in high-pressure situations
- Background check and drug screen required
- Must pass pre-employment assessment
- Willingness to commit to 12-week training program
