Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment using provided advanced sterilization systems
- Assist surgeons during procedures with precision instrument handling and equipment management
- Maintain sterile fields and adhere to strict aseptic protocols
- Operate specialized surgical equipment including robotic systems and endoscopic devices
- Coordinate with team on equipment readiness and surgical case flow
- Document equipment usage and sterilization logs per regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience with equipment-focused role
- Expertise in sterilization processes and equipment troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrument sets and equipment protocols
- BLS certification and commitment to continuing education
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Excellent communication skills for equipment coordination with surgical teams
