Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to hospital protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper infection control measures
- Operate specialized surgical equipment including cameras, monitors, and robotic systems
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Manage inventory and restock operating rooms between procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years recent operating room experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and equipment maintenance
- Ability to operate complex surgical technology systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred
