Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure the operating room environment remains sterile and organized.
- Count sponges and instruments before and after procedures to ensure safety.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room as needed.
- Apply sterile dressings to incision sites.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential required.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
