Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and monitor aseptic techniques
- Count surgical sponges, needles, and instruments before/after procedures
- Transport patients and specimens between departments
- Document procedural details in electronic health records
- Manage sterile processing and inventory control
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy (EMR systems)
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
