Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment prior to surgery.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure the sterile field is maintained.
- Manage and inventory surgical supplies to prevent shortages.
- Document surgical procedures and patient care accurately.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift equipment.
