Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, anticipating their needs.
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize equipment according to strict protocols.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all instruments are accounted for.
- Handle specimens accurately and assist with patient turnover and positioning.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or CRCST credential required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
