Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by preparing and passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and strictly adhere to aseptic techniques.
- Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functioning correctly before procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team immediately.
- Assist with patient transport and positioning prior to surgery.
- Document patient records and surgical counts accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
