As a Surgical Tech in our Stockton facility, you will play a vital role in the operating room, working alongside experienced surgeons and nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care. We value professionalism, precision, and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a clear surgical field.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of surgical supplies and ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Prepare patients for surgery by positioning them, washing and sterilizing incision sites, and applying sterile drapes.
- Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to anticipate needs and ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs during procedures.
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile technique.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
