Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and sutures.
- Monitor and maintain a sterile field to prevent infection.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before and after procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certification eligible.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and surgical anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
