Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce safety protocols
- Count and document surgical instruments before and after procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery and position them correctly
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Manage inventory and restock surgical supplies
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
