Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Count surgical instruments and supplies before and after procedures
- Transport patients and equipment safely within surgical areas
- Operate specialized surgical equipment and sterilization systems
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong understanding of surgical terminology and instrumentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
