Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for all specialties
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sterile technique
- Maintain sterile environment and enforce safety protocols
- Count sponges, sharps, and instruments pre/post-procedure
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain supply inventory
- Collaborate with RNs and anesthesia teams for seamless care
- Document procedural activities in EMR systems
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 1+ years of operating room experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
