Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count and manage surgical supplies before, during, and after operations
- Transport patients to and from operating rooms while ensuring safety protocols
- Document procedural details and maintain equipment inventory
- Adhere to OSHA and AORN safety standards in all surgical activities
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital or ambulatory surgical setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- BLS certification and ability to lift 50+ pounds
